St. Margaret’s is an anglican church in the heart of Rainham.

We are part of the Diocese of Rochester

For over 650 years we have stood at the heart of the community. Over that time Rainham has grown from a quiet agricultural village to a large residential town of over 30,000 people.

St. Margaret’s offers a variety of services, within a broadly central tradition, which aim to be accessible to those from a wide variety of church backgrounds and at different stages on their faith journey.

Please look around our website to find out more about what we do, and how you might become part of the community of St. Margaret’s Church.

  1. It is so good to know that St Margaret’s is not only alive and kicking, but is a thriving and forward looking church. We worshipped at the church for 6 years from 1961 before we moved to Northumberland. Our two sons were baptised there and it was during that time under the ministry of Jim Clifford that my husband studied to be a lay reader and he continues ministry on the pastoral team where we now live in Essex and are both still active in our local church. Margaret and Michael Knell.
