Easter Day at St. Margaret’s

Easter Day was celebrated across 3 services at St. Margaret’s. The early birds got up for 6.15am Easter liturgy with the lighting of a fire (not quite first time), the procession into church led by the paschal candle, the singing of the Exsultet – a special Easter proclamation and the sharing of Holy Communion. The clergy cooked breakfast for everyone afterwards as reward for getting up so early.

Our 8am service continued as normal. Our 10:30 was an all age eucharist service, fusing together the best elements of the different styles of services found at St. Margaret’s. It was especially joyful to welcome Lucie as she was baptised into the family of God.

Pictures of our services can be seen in our online gallery here

Palm Sunday Procession

Our Palm Sunday procession today was sadly without Dave the Donkey who has a poorly foot and was unable to lead us. We marched as usual from the Shopping precinct to Church for our Palm Sunday Eucharist service which included a dramatized reading of the gospel. You can see pictures from the procession here.

We have services every evening during Holy Week starting at 7.30 each evening. Everyone is welcome to join us.
